"Kitte" is Kitten, there was a typo. It's also known as Swept Away (unofficial name). There's a live video available but I don't think an audio demo exists for it (nor for the 3 others actually...). |

Yeah there is a video performance of the song 'Kitten'. It's from the Duke of Clarence on 19/11/03. It was the Mr Razzcocks reunion gig, and so he is on drums. It's the only version of the song that i have, but i really like it. The bassline is ace, and so is the "i heard your brother and the boys and they go la la la" bit.

They do exist, it says so in the back of that new libertines book (bound together) they were recorded around the time of legs 11 ((TAG) was in the legs 11 sessions).
stylishkidsintheriot: cheers, the vid is class, any more old ones? (i have pay the lady and music when the lights go out video's from 99) any video's of them playing legs 11 stuff would be more than good.

i don't have any more early/Razzcocks videos i'm afraid. I only have those 2 vids from 1999 and the Kitten video from 2003. it would be great to see more though!
you've probably noticed their cellist Vicky in those 1999 vids. she also plays on the Legs 11 version of MWTLGO.

ummm, just because something exists doesn't mean it's in circulation.
legs 11 is only in circulation because the band used it as their demo, the tracks you mention, although recorded, probably weren't used on demo cds and hence haven't made it into the public domain yet.
like with all bands there's material which takes years to reach the light of day, we're lucky that there's so much libertines stuff out there now due to the band making it available online etc as it's actually quite unusual.
there's actually quite a few examples of early material existing but not being circulated, such as the 'horror show' short film:
http://libertines.twinkling-star.com/othervideos.html
who knows, this stuff might end up on an official release someday.
