[edit] Info:

Don't Go Back To The One You Love is a track recorded and released by Yeti in 2008, with the writing credit going to Andrew Deian. Yeti wrote on their website about the track: "The track is an amalgamation of three different songs from three separate genres. At almost 6 minutes long, it is an epic of monstrous proportions. You will not hear another single like this in 2008" [1].

The track was officially released as a single on 26th of May (on digital download), and June 2nd (on CD and 7")[2] by the record label "Get Up & Go Records," which also released Yeti's UK debut album, The Legend of Yeti Gonzales.

[edit] Lyrics:

Turn the lights out
Shut the window
Burn your old clothes
Don't use the telephone
Steal the next car
Drive to Mexico

Back on the outskirts
Past the meadow
???? a van
Will take you to anywhere
Slow or middle class
It'll drive you fast

Sirens cry ????
So stand here,
Stuck on the border
????
Gets you close to America

Don't go back,
Back to the one you love
There'll be trouble,
Don't go back to the one you love

Girl in the next room
Call the doctor
Doctor call the cops
And the family
It's hard for young men
Hear his money cry
She's sitting on the porch
Waiting for the mailman to arrive

Free ???? tucked in a letter
Words ????
Almost left me blind

If you go back,
Back to the one you love
There'll be trouble,
Don't go back to the one you love

If Loretta writes tomorrow
Won't you tell her about this song
So you stole a little money
And then you had to get caught
Now you have to spend your whole life
Trying to escape from the law
????
They’re heading 'round the block
Looking down the window
And you can't resist a drop

So you stole a little money
And now you've lost it all
What remains is just the same
As what remains in a song

There's a nomad in a Mustang
Trying to run away from the enemy
On my last stand
Like a little man
Standing face to face with the enemy

There's a nomad in a Mustang
Trying to run away from the enemy
On my last stand
Like a little man
Standing face to face with the enemy
